Geothermal energy causes less air pollution than fossil fuel combustion and geothermal power releases a much smaller quantity of greenhouse gases than the burning of fossil fuels. but the negative side is that tje geothermal power plant uses heat water more quickly than groundwater the plant will run out of water , the water of many hot springs contains chemicals that damage equipment and add pollution , some may trigger earthquakes

    Shayana Harris's avatar
    Shayana Harris 4/17/2018 6:40 AM
my concerns for climate change is that why is the weather being so bi-polar like we can get really sick by thinking it is hot outside and then it gets cold the next day .. we can get sick from that and that's what i'm concerned about because who wants to be sick ?

What does your vision of a sustainable community look like? What would need to be changed in order for such vision to become reality?

    Shayana Harris's avatar
    Shayana Harris 4/12/2018 6:03 AM
A sustainable community looks like probably everything is nice and has no trash any where the grass isn't dead and to me what needs to change is people just stop throwing trash anywhere they want to and just throw it in the  trash can because all the trash nothing is going to really growing and the place is going to be smelly and just look dirty

Great response, Shayana! I agree with you that not littering is a great first step to a sustainable society. Plastic pollution in our oceans is a growing problem.
