Congratulations and Thank You to Northwest Earth Institute for facilitating this challenge - it's been great fun and I know that I, for one, have earned a lot from this

It's hard for me to believe that this challenge is just about done; i have enjoyed it and believe that this challenge has encouraged me to work on my other challenges - thank you NWEI for everything you do!!

How could you incorporate other "R's" -- reduce, reuse, refuse, repair, repurpose, etc. -- into your lifestyle?

Spent today celebrating Earth Day here in Brevard County, Florida and enjoyed every second of it.  I hope all of the participants in this challenge did or will do the same tomorrow.

I've been unusually busy the last week, but I have been giving a lot of thought to my challenge.  While I try hard to concentrate on all of the good things in life, I find myself getting sidetracked by a lot of the negative things happening around me.  I need to concentrate more on those good things.

This has nothing really to do with the challenge, but yet again, it has everything to do with it.  I'm sitting here listening to the birds singing me a good morning and watching the squirrels going hither and yon starting their day off playing, and I'm thinking it's such a beautiful morning and yet people are going about their morning not even seeing any of it.  Everyone is in a rush and no one is really seeing anything.

What are other easy and low-cost ways to reduce your water usage at home?

When my husband isn't home (he doesn't approve of this) i put a bucket in the shower and when i am letting the water run to get it warm, i normally end up with quite a bit in the bucket; i use that water to water my plants; i sometimes put a small container in the sink when i'm letting the water run also

Those are pretty good solutions!  With hurricane season coming up, it's wise to have a 5-gallon bucket of water handy to flush to toilet, too.

One of the things I particularly like about this challenge is the educational component.  It encourages participants to educate themselves on particular subjects and it's in short bursts which is easier for me to handle.  I love NWEI.

What do you want to prioritize over material 'stuff' in your own life?

Family time - absolutely.  That's the goal for minimalism and I've been working on that for more years than I care to mention.  I have found that the more "stuff" I get rid of, the less clutter I have, and the less clutter I have makes me much calmer, which makes for more balance in my life, which eventually leads to a more peaceful me, leading to a happier wife.  I am a follower of Kermit in this - it's not easy being green - but we can make it more fun for sure
