It is a good idea to family plan because it is a women's choice to become pregnant. That is the most important to me. Also, all of the unplanned pregnancies are causing more carbon emissions from the new children. Aslo, when these women have children, they have less time to go to school and learn about how to save the Earth.

You make many good points there, Claire. I agree that the right to choose when to have children is important for the advancement of the voice of women around the world. We are fortunate to live in a time when birth control is easily accessible. Thank you for your post!

How do your transportation choices affect your engagement in your community? Does your experience differ while walking, riding transit, biking or driving?

I feel like walking more helped me engage more in my community by just seeing what people do. I tend to walk a lot in the morning and I see people walking there dogs and exercising. I feel like this is much different from using a car or bus because I am getting exercise and not polluting the air with a car.

We don't realize what we've missed by being in a car until we start walking and biking more. I agree that walking is a wonderful way to engage with others!
