REFLECTION QUESTIONMaterials Eliminate Toxic PlasticsWhat single-use items (e.g. straws, coffee cups, vegetable bags, plastic bags) do you regularly use? What could be substituted instead?
Jason Morris 4/16/2018 2:04 PMStraws are the worst. Stop using straws!!! It's tough to avoid the others, but I try not to use the plastic produce bags at the store unless I'm getting bulk items like green beans or something that require a bag- don't need them for most fruits and veggies that have their own wrapper. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONLand Use Forest-Friendly Foods 2How difficult or easy was it to change your diet?
Jason Morris 4/16/2018 2:00 PMSo far it has been impossible based on the parameters I have set (no palm oil, coffee, chocolate, meat, or dairy). I have yet to make it through a day without one of these. Weak! -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Reduce Animal ProductsWhat do you think contributes to people in North America eating more meat than other countries, and what does this say about North American values and ways of living? How do we start shifting a meat-focused food culture?
Jason Morris 4/16/2018 1:57 PMBecause meat here is cheaper than anywhere else due to factory farming practices. Stricter regulations and health standards in the meat industry would drive up the cost of meat and cause people to eat less of it.
