  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food Reduce Animal Products
What do you think contributes to people in North America eating more meat than other countries, and what does this say about North American values and ways of living? How do we start shifting a meat-focused food culture?

I went to new seasons and got an Impossible Burger. Its a meatless burger that still has a juice inside the meat.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Transport Try Carpooling
Take a moment to think of places you frequent often (work, grocery store, natural areas). Could you choose one or two days a week to schedule driving with a friend, neighbor or co-worker to these places?

I have just been doing simple carpools, asking my friends if they need rides and getting picked up by my friends if they are coming by house.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Transport Test Drive an Electric Bike
Half of all trips made in the US are three miles or less; 72% of them are driven. Private vehicles account for 60% of trips of a mile or less. Do you feel that these facts apply to you? If so, how might you incorporate an electric bike into your lifestyle?

I drove my friends moms electric Bike and it was very cool and surprisingly fast. I don't know if it could replace a car because I need to bring things like my lacrosse gear around town and it won't fit on a bike.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Food Keep Track of Wasted Food
An average American throws out about 240 lbs of food per year. The average family of four spends $1,500 a year on food that they throw out. Where would you rather use this money?

I have been really good about not throwing away food. More importantly, I have been better at managing how much food to prepare or order so there are no extras. The only thing I have thrown away so far has been half a milkshake.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Materials Recycle Everything I Can
How could you incorporate other "R's" -- reduce, reuse, refuse, repair, repurpose, etc. -- into your lifestyle?

I usually always recycle all of the waste possible in my house. Therefore, it shouldn't to be very difficult to continue this. I will continue to repair objects in order to stay more sustainable.
