  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Buildings and Cities Express My Support
How could better walking infrastructure make your city both more enjoyable and more equitable?

    Gina Rossi's avatar
    Gina Rossi 4/25/2018 8:38 AM
Allow for more equality and public health.  With more social interaction an active city is enlivening and can positively boost your mood.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Buildings and Cities Research Heat Pumps
Why do you care about taking action on climate change?

    Gina Rossi's avatar
    Gina Rossi 4/25/2018 8:34 AM
Seventh generation concept.  To leave the beauty of the planet for generations beyond me.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Electricity Generation Learn More about Wave and Tidal Energy
What did you learn about wave and tidal energy? Were you surprised by the information you found?

    Gina Rossi's avatar
    Gina Rossi 4/25/2018 8:31 AM
How feasible it is to implement, and a new ending source of energy.  I'm always concerned about ocean installations with the risk of mass pollutants, but this seems to be as clean as it possibly can be.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Electricity Generation Communicate With My Elected Officials
What inspires you to act on sustainable energy and other energy issues?

    Gina Rossi's avatar
    Gina Rossi 4/23/2018 1:08 PM
The feeling the apocalyptic fiction is really not that far off...
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Land Use Advocate for Forest Protection
Higher standards of living are very often dependent on moving our environmental costs elsewhere. What are some specific ways in which the environmental impacts of your own lifestyle might be shifted elsewhere?

    Gina Rossi's avatar
    Gina Rossi 4/23/2018 1:06 PM
Question and pay closer attention to where products are manufactured, including sourcing locations and methods for individual components.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Materials Launch a Recycling Program
How can you take your commitment to sustainable living beyond yourself? How can you, personally, work toward broader change?

    Gina Rossi's avatar
    Gina Rossi 4/23/2018 12:49 PM
Expanding awareness, and often times "guilt tripping" works to create quick change, prolonging that change is the challenge.  I posted signs in my apartment building trash/recycling room to help make clear what can/can't be recycled and in which receptacles items go into.  I'd like to expand this and maybe include a compost bin initiative for the building.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Electricity Generation Learn More About Geothermal Energy
Geothermal energy is reliable, abundant, and efficient. Project Drawdown states that public investment will play a crucial role in its expansion. What kind of investment seems most feasible for you?

    Gina Rossi's avatar
    Gina Rossi 4/23/2018 12:46 PM
Spreading knowledge and recommending/selling to clients when site relevant.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Food Learn More about Regenerative Agriculture
Clean air, clean water and healthy food are three reasons to care about regenerative agriculture. In what ways can you support your closest regenerative agriculture farm?

    Gina Rossi's avatar
    Gina Rossi 4/20/2018 7:11 AM
Ask questions at farmers markets about farming practices and prioritize those that farm the most sustainably.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Food Learn the Truth About Expiration Dates
Now that you know the difference between use by, sell by, and best by dates, how will you view expiration dates differently?

    Gina Rossi's avatar
    Gina Rossi 4/20/2018 7:05 AM
Not really that differently, already was pretty educated on what is usually okay past the marked date.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Land Use Learn about Temperate Forests
As you learn more about the scope and seriousness of the environmental challenges we face, what impact does that have on your thinking and actions? What are the parts that feel overwhelming? What parts help you feel hopeful?

    Gina Rossi's avatar
    Gina Rossi 4/19/2018 10:21 AM
The current political climate is extremely discouraging.  Through these education challenges though I'm discovering that there are a lot active groups working to make positive changes.
