REFLECTION QUESTIONLand Use Learn about Local Indigenous PracticesWhat did you learn about indigenous peoples' land management that you can apply in your own life?
Zahra Sherman 4/12/2018 11:19 AMI learned that in 2016 a member of the Confederated Tribes of the Grand Ronde went on a hunger strike for five days outside the state Capitol in September to highlight the tribes' objections to the impact on their fishing rights. It was in response to Hood River County voting in May of 2016 to ban water-bottling plants, but the town of Cascade Locks still wants the business, and is working to overrule voters in the courts.

Zahra Sherman 4/04/2018 10:36 AMThis is an easy goal for me to complete because I am vegetarian already. I don't think that the meat and dairy industries are ethical at all which makes it easier for me to not eat these foods. -
