Participant Feed

Reflection, encouragement, and relationship building are all important aspects of getting a new habit to stick.

Inspired by Erin's inquiry to me for an alternative toothbrush, I wanted to share with everyone that I use the green panda toothbrush, made entirely of bamboo including the bristles--which means it's biodegradable! I got mine at Whole Foods but it is also available online!

I am so glad to have chosen "Connect with a Non-profit." In my search and outreach, I've discovered multiple non-profits I would love to work with!

For the past few days, I have been in group settings where I feel more responsibility over leftover food! I think it has helped to bring extra containers to share with others...this particular challenge has me devising ways to reduce the length of my foodwaste log!

What is considered food waste? Here's an example scenario: If I have a mold-y lemon and choose to use the pulp and juice to clean my kitchen sink, is it still considered wasted food because I didn't eat/consume it?

I emailed Linda Alepin, a professor at SCU who is the co-founder of the Global Women's Leadership Network. GWLN is now a part of How Women Lead and I'll be following up with a new contact!

I started a log in my planner! I hope the list of wasted food doesn't get long! It's motivating me to really plan ahead and keep a strict inventory of what's in my fridge and pantry...Since I'm going away for the weekend, I brought food to share in my workplace because I don't want the food to go bad!
