REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Support Nutrient ManagementHow does environmental quality influence your sense of community?
Koala Vandruff 4/23/2018 11:51 PMI look forward to the summer farmer's markets and buy a lot from them every week. I have a home garden, too. I love the gardeners and all the local businesses that are so inventive with new products and how we can meet up with them and see what they have been up to at the markets. There is even a weekly market right down the street from me. People walk and ride bikes there and it is a great community resource. -

Koala Vandruff 4/23/2018 11:41 PMTomorrow, we will have an installer over to see if solar panels are a good idea for our house. -

Koala Vandruff 4/06/2018 11:57 PMSo, It may not be a great admission, but the other day we were in a hurry and hungry. We stopped for a sandwich at Subway. They offered a drink and handed me a giant cup made of rather hard plastic which does happen to be a number 5 recyclable. But, I asked the guy what happens to most of the cups and he agreed that the mostly get thrown in the trash. So, my action when I got home was to write to subway and ask them what are they thinking using all that plastic! Maybe if we all wrote in, they would make a change???? Also mention the plastic straws- if people need straws so badly, why not go back to paper. PS: they have paper straws at Bears tooth, just ask. It is a start.
