    I can actively reduce food waste by using my nose before throwing something out. And, even then, I can make a decision as to whether or not the food item can be composted and the food container recycled.

    A sustainable community finds multiple purposes in things and uses what already exists to further that community. To make that a reality people need to understand how their individual actions impact the whole and be willing to take small steps daily.
