Terry Mott 4/25/2018 1:54 PMWowee...I've enjoyed participating in this EcoChallenge, and it's provided a huge amount of resources in subject matters I care about. But one of the challenges was trying to learn how to maneuver around this website, and I hope I do better next time around! -
Terry Mott 4/16/2018 8:05 PMPlanned an eco-friendly event today; this week my challenge is to find time to work on this EcoChallenge. -
Terry Mott 4/14/2018 8:53 PMI wish more of the work I do everyday re sustainability / eco-friendly activities were specifically covered in this challenge. That would certainly help with my points! -
Terry Mott 4/12/2018 7:44 PMThis week has been filled with eco-friendly activities. And while it's been educational and good work for the planet, etc. it's also been exhausting. So this weekend I'm spending an eco-friendly day to do nothing but sit and watch the ducks swimming in my backyard.-

Terry Mott 4/10/2018 8:01 PMI had an amazing day today working as a volunteer for the Florida nonprofit, Hundred Acre Hollows (HAH), at Lucky's Market in Melbourne, FL. The HAH was selected as one of the four nonprofits this year to be the recipient of Lucky Market's "Impact Day." Four times a year this socially responsible business donates 10% of its gross revenue for an entire day to a local nonprofit. They also have a separate program for ongoing donations to nonprofits. And since shopping at this market is such an adventure in sustainability--where everything in the place is eco-friendly--I plan to do a lot more of it. -
Terry Mott 4/09/2018 2:25 PMWhile checking my emails, I noticed an interesting article re microplastics in Science News(https://www.sciencenews.org/article/microplastics-may-enter-freshwater-and-soil-compost?utm_source=editorspicks040818&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Editors_Picks)And after reading some of the comments to the article, I stumbled upon a list of resources re research being done about biosolids (an area I know little about, but promised to research for this EcoChallenge).I know many government entities and nonprofits in Florida are researching this issue, and I want to continue to pursue this topic. Here’s some of the resources listed by one person commenting on the above article:Cornell - http://cwmi.css.cornell.edu...

I also was happy not to waste any food. And I stumbled upon the following article that some may be interested to read:Unilever’s Work on Recycling Plastic Shows CPG Companies Can Lead on Wasteby Leon Kaye , 4/6/2018https://www.triplepundit.com/2018/04/unilevers-work-recycling-plastic-shows-cpg-companies-can-lead-waste/ -
