Jess Scanlon 4/04/2018 2:32 PMCape Town was suppose to run out of water on Aprill 22nd! The rains finally came and 'Day Zero' has been pushed to 2019. The residents of the city have been going to great lengths to conserve water and have achieved some amazing water savings. They are down to 13 gallons per person a day. Compare that to 109 gallons person person a day in LA.
Check out some of their water saving strategies here: http://www.latimes.com/world/la-fg-south-africa-drought-20180401-story.html
