So I did this but would prefer a specific legislative ask or a group in Texas that's already doing this. But realize how uninvolved people are and maybe that's why those things don't exist yet

They keep giving me the same challenges. I have completed keep track of wasted food and buy food locally for 3 days in a row now. Do i get credit each day I do that?
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food Smaller Portions
Fun fact: Your brain and stomach register feelings of fullness after about 20 minutes of eating. While dishing food out, we tend to load our plates with more than we need. Using smaller plates helps to mitigate this. Aside from the environmental benefits, what other benefits might come out of this?

I want to be more mindful of how much i really eat. Sometimes I am not thinking about that.

OK so we already shop at the farmer's market. But we will be intentional about buying 2 meals a week from there. Also, in terms of trash, take your egg cartons back to the egg sellers and they reuse them. Also the honey people will take back the honey jars or you can just go to Whole foods with your own container and fill up with honey.

It's going well. When I email a representative about restoring farmland, I would love to have examples of other legislators having done something like that to show them.

I would like this as well. I am going to email the Reps I know and have emails for with all of the 'cont ct  your rep' challenges. Invite them to our team. References of  of other other work by leg'leg  would be great.

  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Electricity Generation Choose Renewable Energy or Purchase Renewable Energy Credits
Your utility company is able to tell you your average energy usage. Ask them how your energy usage compares to others in your zipcode, and in your state. What steps can you take each day to reduce your electricity usage?
