Deniz Whittier 4/23/2018 6:27 PMHi folks,
On Earth Day, I volunteered at 11th Ward's Clean and Green event and met my Alderman. We set a meeting to discuss planting appropriate trees on my street as we recently lost a few. I will also discuss energy efficiency rebates available for our neighborhood at this meeting. We will also likely discuss solar opportunities and the sunk costs associated with this investment so that we can pitch renewables for our community based on viability in perhaps a future public meeting.
Photos of Earth Day in Bridgeport can be found on the Alderman's Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/patrickdthompson11/
Best,
Deniz -
Deniz Whittier 4/11/2018 7:44 PMWe did this as soon as we got to our apartment building that was constructed in the late 1800s. I only own daylight LED bulbs and have several in my supply closet in case of an emergency. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONBuildings and Cities Go by BikeHow does using human-powered transportation make you feel?
Deniz Whittier 4/11/2018 7:43 PMI have been walking to work at least 3 times a week since March and have the increased iPhone steps to prove it. A 2 mile walk helps me concentrate better in the mornings and feel less guilty about missing gym time.-
