Rachel Wrublik 4/13/2018 7:09 AMThere are so many consumer products made of vinyl. I needed to buy a bath mat but did not want to break my pledge to avoid toxic plastics. With a bit of searching, I found a natural rubber mat as an alternative. Yay! -

Rachel Wrublik 4/10/2018 12:59 PMI learned a bit about biochar this weekend. It appears that traditionally Amazonian people slowly burned agricultural waste in pits with low oxygen rather than the slash and burn method prolific now. The resulting biochar sequesters carbon AND increases soil health and productivity due to its porous nature and ability to increase nutrient retention and microbiological growth.

However, our server saw our toddler and automatically brought out a disposable plastic cup and straw. She was just trying to be helpful but.... -
