Did just appetizers again today for lunch. Feels good to cut down on huge portions, and it's really easy to order meat-free when you're looking at appetizers. My girlfriend likes that we're cutting back on calories, and it doesn't hurt to save a little money as well.

Gotten to the point lately where I pretty much nail the exact amount I'll actually end up wanting so nothing goes to waste. Also ordering less when out, though I am pretty good about not tossing out food anyway

Been using a mason jar for tea out, skipping straws, bringing my own metal utensils, and keeping my cloth bags in my car for anything I end up needing to carry to avoid plastic bags.

Been doing great on avoiding plastic!  I definitely need to continue to work on avoiding it, but I feel like its only up from here!

Electricity Generation Learn More about Micro Wind
Micro turbines can be placed on large structures to take advantage of stronger, steadier breezes. The Eiffel Tower now sports vertical axis turbines that produce electricity for use on site. Where could micro turbines potentially be installed in your city?

I live in an area of Beaverton surround by three named mountains, which include Bull Mountain, Cooper Mountain, and Sexton Mountain. All three have many homes where micro turbines could be installed to take advantage of the heightened wind intensity in the higher elevations. This is especially true for some of those massive homes sitting atop Cooper Mountain and overlooking the valley that is quickly being populated with townhomes and duplexes, along with the overly expensive high school that looks like a college building.

That was interesting. I wasn't very adventurous with my vegetarian choices, but I do felt like it forced me to eat healthier and local food.

MY NEIGHBORS CREATE SOOOO MUCH WAIST. i have been proposing the idea to the HOA that i live in to get a smaller garbage bin for our complex and the could'nt fathem the idea of not creating as much garbage as we do now. i think that getting a compost bin would be much better for so many reasons. another great reason we should get a composting bin is so we can get really great nutrients for gardening and of course cut back on the garbage that we create

4/25 - Today on our way back home we made a grocery list and meal plan in the car. We had a few things we could use up in the fridge so we incorporated those into our planning. We went to the store and only got what we needed - but then we went and splurged a little bit at Costco after to get some meat in bulk. However, it will last us a long time so I guess in the end it made the most sense!

This is the last day of the challenge, but we are going to continue incorporating it into our daily life as we've had a lot of fun seeing what we can use up and plan out before we go and buy more. It's turned into a fun little activity between us.

4/24 - Our road trip continued today. We ate breakfast out, got coffee out, and ate dinner out. Tomorrow we go back on track!
