    Giving up on the web search I contacted Metro Recycling, City of Portland Recycling and Far West Fibers.  Sorry to say no recycling for bioplastics.  Best thing is not to purchase for now.  If someone has a different answer, I am eager to hear.  😊

    Helping the planet is also political, especially in these days and times. I guess that I would also like to see pressure from the rest of the work to put the US back in community of nations addressing climate change, not denying it. We, in the US can only work from within to help each other understand and to do something.

    Great Earth Day sermon at Church (although some points could be debated). Also a good turn out at the EcoFIlm Festival to see the Reluctant Radical and Five Season, Piet Oudolf. Friends of Portland Community Gardens at the Hollywood Theater.

    I found out yesterday that our native trillium when it turns purple, is not just from age, but it has been pollinated. That must signal the bees that the white ones are still ready for pollen. It is never too late to learn something new.

    Fun fact: Your brain and stomach register feelings of fullness after about 20 minutes of eating. While dishing food out, we tend to load our plates with more than we need. Using smaller plates helps to mitigate this.  Aside from the environmental benefits, what other benefits might come out of this?  One answer: Keeping that weight down.
