REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Smaller PortionsFun fact: Your brain and stomach register feelings of fullness after about 20 minutes of eating. While dishing food out, we tend to load our plates with more than we need. Using smaller plates helps to mitigate this. Aside from the environmental benefits, what other benefits might come out of this?
Tamara Staton 4/21/2018 10:44 PMThere is less water used to wash smaller plates, not by a lot, but some. When we waste less food, we buy less food. When we eat less, we buy less, as well. -
Tamara Staton 4/13/2018 4:51 PMI have been able to remember to check in every day, but I want to recommit! -
Tamara Staton 4/08/2018 1:02 PMJust watched the super short but super interesting and informative video about methane digesters...what an awesome process! Talk about making lemonade from lemons...anyone know why it's taking so long for us to adopt these more in the US (Germany currently leads)....?-
Anderson Rose 4/08/2018 2:54 PMNot sure why it hasn’t taken off sooner, the the City of Portland is currently working on a project to fuel vehicles with natural gas generated from a waste treatment plant. https://www.bizjournals.com/portland/news/2018/03/08/portland-unveils-natural-gas-fueling-station.html

My challenges show up under my actions when I click on my profile.
If you're still having trouble, I may be able to help you this week in a zoom call, where we could screen share? -
Jan Dietrick 3/29/2018 11:09 PMWhen I signed up I set up a bunch of challenges and no logging in they aren't there. Maybe I signed up for too many. Is there anyplace I should click to see what I decided on a few days ago?Rep Caps was a climate leader and the fellow we sent to replace her, Rep Salud Carbajal was able to get on the Climate Solutions Caucus as soon as he got to DC. I believe there will be progress putting a federal price on carbon. -
