(Continuation of truncated previous post:) In investigating, found a great website on food storage, freezing and use beyond its best quality, as well as a bunch of other stuff. Check it out: www.savethefood.com

Today is our last day of the Eco-challenge.  I'll miss checking in daily but I'm so motivated to continue the important work that we are doing for our planet.  I'm gearing up for a campaign in Blue Ash, in hopes that my area can become a leader in sustainability. It may take a few years but I'm in it! What's next NWEI/Drawdown?

I have not been as good as I should have been with daily posts. I have had more conversations 2ith friends about recycling since this started. Another friend and I are experimenting with different types of, don’t laugh, cat litter disposal bags. Plastic grocery bags - not good!

I learned that Silvopasture adds value, not only to cattle and other animals, but to the soil, trees and other plants as well.  Related to that is the practice of Permaculture, which converts the waste of one system to a resource for another.  Great stuff!
