My first box of imperfect produce has arrived - i can't wait to get home and put it to use! According to stats on the imperfect produce website, with each box of produce we save not only that produce from going to waste, but gallons of water and CO2 from being released into the atmosphere. Definitely a win-win-win!
We buy and cook only the food we will eat before it spoils. I reuse the wax bags that come in cereal boxes for food storage and lunch bags instead of buying plastic bags or special containers. I have a repurposed a dictionary for a plant stand in my office - thanks to Kelly M and I hope to build a planter box out of recycled materials for this summer.
Recycling Tip for Earth Day: We can recycle styrofoam and all #6 plastics just a few miles down the road at Agilyx, 7904 SW Hunzinker Road, Tigard. The small clear plastic cups typically are a #6.
