A friend asked if I would like to participate, and since I care about the environment, I signed up.  The first time I looked at the website, I found some interesting topics to explore, but I have been frustrated on subsequent visits by not being able to figure out how to do some of the things on the page.  I would click on a topic, but end up just coming back to the page I'd already been on.

      Hi Peggy,

Thanks for your post.  It is a bit confusing to find where to identify which actions we've completed each day.  My method is to log on, then click on the Dashboard. This shows which actions are already chosen. To indicate an action taken, click the big circle in the center of the tile for that action. It will change color and indicate it has been completed.  Some of the actions are one time only (i.e research on a specific topic like family planning in the Girls and Women sector) and others are daily actions (i.e. eating meatless meals, recycling, using recycled paper, avoiding plastic whenever possible, etc.).

Any further questions, please call or email us..  Happy Earth Day,  Marty (& June)

Some husbands or communities are not supportive of women using birth control, and some women have not been educated to the various ways to prevent an unplanned pregnancy.  Young women are also at risk and many die from becoming pregnant too soon.   I made a donation to the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) which helps to educate women about contraceptives, promotes safe childbirth,  etc.
